If you email us
We get your email address and whatever you write. We use it to reply to you and to do the work you ask us for. We don’t sell it, and we don’t add you to a mailing list.
Website analytics
We use Google Analytics to see how many people visit and which pages they read. It sets cookies and records things like the pages you view, the browser you use and your rough location. Google processes this information for us. You can block it in your browser settings or with Google’s opt-out add-on.
The site’s fonts come from Google Fonts, so your browser connects to Google’s servers to download them.
Things that stay in your browser
The ID number generator and verifier run entirely in your browser. The numbers you type in are never sent to us.
If you play the bug-catching game, your collection is saved in your browser’s local storage, not on our servers. Clearing your browser data removes it.
When we work on your systems
Testing your systems can mean we see personal information. We only use it for the work you’ve hired us to do, keep it confidential, and delete it when the job is done unless you ask us to keep it.
Your rights
Under the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) you can ask what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it. Just email us. If you’re not happy with our answer, you can complain to the Information Regulator.
